I got the privilege of covering the Portales High School reunion of the class of 1962 this past weekend. I met all of these cool people with memories to share and it made me wonder about my high school class.
I wonder if our class can get together and be like we were. It's been five years since I graduated high school.
I never asked to see if there was a five-year reunion for us but I keep in contact with quite a few friends from my class and thanks to Facebook, I know when my other former classmates are eating a burrito, having a baby, or getting a root canal.
I think reunions have quite a mystique to them. I love that element of surprise. Many PHS grads said they hadn't seen their classmates in 40 and 50 years but they picked up right where they left off.
I admire how those grads valued the strength of their class. I have hopes that I'll be able to do my thing and still be humble enough to come back to where it started.
I have big expectations and a huge vision for myself but no one can say for sure where I'll be in five years. I have spoken what I want into existence, and hopefully it will come to be.
